Forklift Operators | The Handling Equipment Operator role involves working within the warehouse environment to ensure efficient handling of goods. MHE 1 is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, storing, checking, and packing goods, utilizing technical equipment such as scanners and low-lift trucks (LFT). MHE 2 focuses on controlling the delivery of customer goods, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring proper storage and labeling to prevent inventory losses, damages, or injuries.

  • Salary Range: €1000 - €1500 gross/month (depending on role and experience)  

Requirements

1. Education: Primary, Secondary (without or with high school diploma), or higher education (bachelor’s, postgraduate)
2. Skills:
    1) Proficiency in working with scanners and low-lift trucks (LFT)
    2) Ability to perform warehouse tasks accurately and efficiently
    3) Basic mathematical and logical thinking skills (for job interview and testing)

3. Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or handling equipment is advantageous
4. Certifications: Forklift driving license (practical test required for forklift operators)
5. Physical fitness to perform manual warehouse tasks

Bonuses

Bonuses & Compensation:

1. Hourly Wage:
  • MHE 1: €7.63/hour gross (~€1,244/month)
  • MHE 2: €8.00/hour gross (~€1,305/month)
2. Monthly Bonus: Up to 10% of salary
3. Overtime Bonus: €2 or €4/hour for each paid overtime hour above 15 hours/month
4. Night Surcharge: €1.876/hour gross
5. Public Holidays: 100% extra pay
6. Overtime: 40% extra of the basic salary + average hourly wage

7. Weekend Surcharges:
  • Saturday: €2.345/hour
  • Sunday: €4.69/hour
8. Meal Vouchers: €6.60 per meal (paid fully by the employer)

Responsibilities

  • Operating technical equipment such as scanners and low-lift trucks
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting goods within the warehouse

  • Resolving discrepancies during goods receipt and delivery
  • Ensuring proper labeling and storage to prevent inventory errors or damages
  • Maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency
  • Supporting warehouse documentation processes

Additional Information:  
  • Interview Process: Personal interview and a simple mathematics and logical thinking test; forklift drivers will undergo a practical forklift test.
